Out of all my years of reading I have finally found a book that has bested me.
J.K Rowling's The Casual Vacancy proved to be so boring that I couldn't get half way through. I gave up. I am so ashamed.
I think I was at chapter six when I gave in. It's been a week and I've barely mustered up the strength to read the book. So I took it back to the library today and I guess I'm still on book six of 2013. Don't worry there is another one already lined up to be posted.

I would have given up after the first chapter, but I had selected it for a book report.
...I ended up stating that it was poorly written, booring beyond belief, and that the ONLY reason it was given the status it had, was because the several books by the same author was great. But shorter.
to print a book as large as that, people just made a lot over a few short parts that were good.
Moby Dick was boring within the part that took part on land, about whale signs, and what was distinictive about each whale sign, boring! the only really interesting part was the way the church for whalers was built, complete with ascending/descending "crows nest" for the parson.
the sea parts were good/
Like war and peace.
