These containers here come from "puffs" which are basically Cheerios that dissolve quickly for babies. The seem to have become a staple with parents these days. and therefore these containers are everywhere.
I just couldn't bring myself to throw this thing away knowing that there was a great use for it that i just hadn't thought of yet....problem is i still have them and i still haven't thought of it!
So here goes my attempt at "crowd sourcing"
What do you think they could be used for? they come in a few different varieties as you can see but the basic design is the same for each.
I know i already made a video with the same question, but i hardly get any views on videos these days (whats up with that?) so i figured a post was a better way to get ideas.

So far i came up with 3
1. Piggy bank (but Noah already has 3...)
2. Snack storage on the go (big stretch there eh?)
3. Bowling pins for a mini bowling game.

You could use them yourself, for little tiny pieces in your workshop (nails, screws, etc.)
Punch holes in the top, and fill them with coloured sand or glitter, and have Noah shake them onto a piece of paper covered in glue. Great craft activity.
Storage for pencils or small paint brushes.
Can you tell I'm the daughter of a pre-school teacher? LOL
As for garage...i have SOOOO many containers saved for just that purpose already. lol I'm a big fan of recycling and beyond that reusing things.
Here's another idea. Fill the cans full of different objects (marbles, beans, sand, tiny screws, peas, rice, whatever) seal them up with duct tape, and let Noah use them as various noisemakers. :) Different fillings will create different sounds.
hahahahahahaha just a jokin. I like the bowling pin idea.

You will have to scroll down the page a bit to get to them.

It you are artistic enough, you can use them with his train set as buildings or make a whole city.
* Bath toy. Not only will your kids love playing with them, but you can use it as a bucket for wetting/rinsing their hair.
* Basement hardware container. I use a TON of jars/bottles from when the kids were infants for things like nuts, screws, nails, heck I just used one this past weekend to hold my wirenuts while I was wiring up the new garbage disposal.
* I also use these types of containers for my knitting/sewing/crafting/beading supplies.
* Kitchen garbage bag dispenser. When my rolls of kitchen bags get smaller, they fall out of the box. I use these containers to store the kitchen bag roll. Leave the top off and put the end of the roll just off the top, and you can pull the trash bags out without a problem.
* Cable dividers/separators. Wrap up and organize your cables for your electronics/powered things with these. You can write on the tube and put all your ethernet cables in one tube, power cords in another, etc. Store them on a shelf for easy access. You can glue them together too. If you don't have many cables, you can use toilet paper tubes or paper towel tubes too. These bigger sizes are good for me because I have so many cables.
* preschool crafting projects. Kids love to build/make things. Things like these are fantastic for small kids - they've already been tested for things like chewing, when they get too gross or ruined you just throw them out without any guilt or wasting any money.
There are plenty more - I just can't think of any more right now.
