Question of the Day: Would You Want To Know The...

When I had my kids, I told the doctors that I definitely wanted to know the sex of my babies if they could tell. But this seems to be a real talking point - should you know the sex of your baby before the baby is born?

I'm glad I knew the sex at 20 weeks. Not only could I plan accordingly with wardrobe and coloring and such, but I could get excited about having a boy, and we could trim back our debate over names to just male names. I always thought that parenting comes with enough surprises, no need to add to that giant heaping.

What about you? If you were having a baby, would you want to know the sex before giving birth?

no more children for me...everytime they told me the sex it was te opposite of what they said..lol

If one had to have an ultrasound, it might be fun to know, but not necessary. It's fun for people to guess. I had a feeling with our first son that he was a boy, and a friend had a dream, the same. With the others, I had no clue! I collected both boys' and girls' clothes at yard sales and the thrift store, and gave the girls' clothes away after we were done having children.

I am totally out of baby making years and I never knew what mine was going to be but if I was having one now I would want to know.

no I like surprizes,, it was funny my last son,, the guy wanted to know yet the dr and him had a plan,, he said the outhouse was already built,, it took me 3 weeks before I know about what that meant

For myself, I just "knew" with my first, my second they said was a girl until I was 32wks, and my next 2 even though they said they were girls I didn't believe them until delivery.
My oldest is expecting his first, they told them it's a boy. I hope it is because they only decided on a boy's name and only have boy's clothes and blankets.

I don't think I would want to know. My daughter wouldn't allow them to look when I had my ultrasounds, She kept moving away
