I've mentioned that this year marks the 125th anniversary of our church. The anniversary is in October, but the anniversary committee has a full year of fun planned for us leading up to it.
For January they are asking us to period dress. Dress up from any period from 1888 to the present.
We are sitting with all the women on the left side of the church and all the men on the right for this month. They are also collecting the offering in baskets on the ends of long poles.
Today the choir all had on hats. I was pretty much in the back row but zoomed in as far as my camera will allow without pixeling out the photo:

I had Jasmine snap a photo of Steve and me. Steve is wearing a suit that was given to him for the "dress-up" by another church member. I am wearing a dress that belonged to my Great Great Great Aunt Tilda. She wore it in 1961 when they celebrated Kansas' Centennial. How cool is that??

My mom wore a pair of bell bottoms and a flowery shirt today. Jasmine put on a plaid type skirt and a button up shirt. Willo wore the outfit that Jasmine had for Cinco De Mayo one year when she was 5. Araya had a dress on somewhat similar to mine but a little fancier. We don't know where the dress came from that she was wearing, but it was in the Halloween tote. Darn I wish I had thought to get a photo of the girls too.

You should have another chance, since most women in those days didn't have more than a couple of Sunday go to meeting dresses.
